In 9th grade my parents decided to separate me from my friends at school so I wouldn’t get into trouble. I had no idea what trouble they were talking about. I was a good girl, not that I wanted to be, but because my mother had such a tight leash on me I could seldom join my friends in the normal teenage activities they took for granted.
Windebank Studio – A Place Not to be Missed
On my last visit to Ontario a friend suggested that I visit Warkworth, a small town that has been revitalized by an active community of dedicated artists. Warkworth hosts many annual events which include the Percy Agricultural Fall Fair, Maple Syrup Festival, Lilac Festival and Sunday Drive Presents Warkworth, 16-day arts festival.
Orillia the Sunshine Town
My home town is Sunshine, the Mariposa Town, a short drive north of Toronto and the portal to Ontario’s idyllic ‘cottage country‘. Orillia is famed for being the home of Stephen Leacock, Gordon Lightfoot and the initial Mariposa Folk Festival. For the past 20 years I have spent my time between Mexico and British Columbia
