Mexico is a country of diversity that welcomed me with open arms.
44 Years Later – But Who’s Counting
I embarked on a Via Rail economy excursion Vancouver to Toronto route, on August 25, 2014 – returning back ‘home’ to the left coast exactly 2 months to the day – quite by accident. The trip across the country was substantially life altering – just like my early ’70’s cross-country freedom rush. I will add to this post in my leisure time because there is a really big story in the making. In the meantime, enjoy a few of the photos I took from the train as I meandered across the country dropping baggage at each stop to give me the space to allow new beginnings to slip into my life. If you feel your daily reality is stuck – take a train ride. Book an economy coach class seat and mingle with musicians, backpackers and an oddly eclectic assortment of seasoned world travelers that are there for the

journey – not the destination. I can’t wait to go on my next rail trip back east this spring – the general plan is Vancouver to Toronto, Toronto to Montreal, Montreal to Newfoundland – a re-invented ‘new found’ dream – one of the only places in Canada I have yet to visit. One thing I know for certain is that the only thing in life I can count on is change. Who knows where my next adventure will lead me!!!!
